Steven Garcia

Mr. Steven Garcia joined IRI’s Houston office in March 2017 as Flag State Specialist after serving in the USCG’s Marine Safety and Environmental Branch. Mr. Garcia has completed numerous training courses in the field of liquified gas carriers, foreign vessel inspections, and port State control examinations. Prior to joining IRI, he served 24 years of active duty with the USCG until retiring at the rank of Chief Warrant Officer. His service was comprised of vessel inspections, engineering duties, maritime lifesaving, helicopter search and rescue operations, and law enforcement.
