For the second year in a row, a team from IRI/The Marshall Islands Registry participated and took first place in the Sailor’s Society Hong Kong Trek. Team Marshall Islands, composed of Winton Porter (IRI Hong Kong), Paul Garwood (KC Maritime), and Johnson Leung (300 Cubits), lead the 16.5-mile trek from Big Wave Bay Beach to Tai Tam Reservoir down to the finish line at Repulse Bay with an outstanding time of 4 hours 13 minutes. The Sailor’s Society Hong Kong Trek raises money to help Sailor’s Society provide services to thousands of seafarers each year as they spend time away from their homes and families.
